Guangzhou - The Street Night Market

After meal, while waiting for the rest to wrap up their dinner, we strolled along the street behind the shoplots.

Discovered a night market happening behind the wall. Apparently, there were more than 1 halal restaurant available around Bukhara restaurant. But of course, Bukhara is the most luxury and clean restaurant there.

Most of the food are prepared by african guys.

Guangzhou - The Eateries

Muslim in China, especially Guangzhou has been existed since more than 1000 years. Guangzhou is not just a place for chinese muslim community but also muslim from other asian countries, from african and arabs. so, getting a halal meal around is not so a  big problem. it's just a matter of tolerance on the taste, cooking style, price, cleanliness.

For breakfast, our foods were sent directly to the hotel. we just need to pick it up from the lobby where they drop the foods. Every morning, we were being served with rice (love their rice, it tastes sweet) with veggie, beef or chicken. no gravy, but still it tastes good.

Dinner, we were taken to 2 different restaurants. For the 1st and 3rd night in GZ, we had our dinner at Bukhara restaurant. This is a must visit restaurant for all Malaysian when visited GZ.

the first dinner. not a bad one. plenty of foods. all of us were really hungry. nobody taken, everyone just eat all the food quietly. the food was quite ok. not as spicy as ours in KL.

They are good at cooking beef.

Another breakfast. Salted fish and vege.

2nd dinner was at Abdullah Restaurant.

Food was good. no complaint. still we missed malaysian food, hot and spicy. oily and salty.

we seldom visited local groceries shops. we were fed all the time. but, since we will only had our dinner later at night after all the shopping stuff, we grabbed some stuff while visiting the mosque here, as a backup.

Supermarket selling halal stuff. quite expensive. next time bring more food from KL.

our final dinner in GZ. foods served were better than earlier. spicy a bit. really happy with this one. so, next time if you drop by here, Bukhara restaurant, request for a spicy meal. not as spicy as in KL but still ok la.

First time trying halal maggi of china. arghhh... they had herbs in the ingredient. can't take it. end up throw it all.

Guangzhou - Wholesale Plazas

if you are a fan of accessories and looking for varieties. here is the place. been here twice during the trip and never feel enough. the mall is full with accessories, watches, some beg shops, household furnitures, table cothes, interior designed goods and many others. they sell jewelry boxes, pretty bedsheets and many2 others. love this mall so much. if u buy in bulk than they give u a very cheap price. to us, we just get some reasonable one after trying hard bargaining several times. most of the mall here are to cater for the wholeseller and business oriented peeps. for regular tourist, we have to bargain it hard.

Pic taken along the street

Guide said, cannot take pic in the mall. so, i had to sneak around to take a few

one of our favourite store. we bought 3 bedsheets here with a very reasonable price. rm200 per set. in KL, the price is around rm600-800 per set

The famous guangzhou railway station. During chinese new year, the Government will set up 100s of tents at the parking area to allow the citizen sleeping and resting before boarding their train

This is not a hotel. basically this is the landmark if you plan to shop for clothing. mens and ladies. behind this building is a row of malls with thousands of options. exclusive material is selling at premium price. low grade materials is selling at cheaper price. just be prepared with enough cash. i can;t get enough of this place even though i almost broke. hehe.

i bought plenty of jacket here. the most expensive one is only rm100. very nice.

Row of shops selling shoes, clothes and also printing services. dont start shopping here. it is more expensive than in the malls.

luggage selling at this mall is expensive than on the streets. so, if you are interested on the luggage, get it at the  streets. but clothes, no problem. plenty of choices here.

This guy selling super premium men shirt at a very reasonable price. around rm20-rm30 per shirt. can sell around rm60 in night market in KL

Another shop lots at kowloon hotel area. we bought a sunglass at the VV boutique. most of the quality and branded imitation glass is hidden inside their drawer. so u have to ask. they can't show the imitation product directly to the shoppers since it is illegal.

Nice jacket. got 1 for dad. less than rm200 for a premium quality jacket

This seller is the pioneer of imitated crocs shoes. most of the malaysian whole seller imported their stock from this uncle. price very reasonable.

This is the morning market area. we went here very early in the morning. 5 o'clock. most of the sellers are still preparing for their business. better come here at 7am than 5am. more options at that time.

row of shops. and more shops inside every row

cheap clothes, scarf and everything here. we bought a bulk of jewellery for souvenirs, blouses, jackets, scarfs. seriously cheap. bout 6-7 jackets here. range from rm15-rm30.

after morning shopping session, we joined the rest of the parties to the kitchen facilities wholesales. it is a bit far from the city. we spent the whole day here. and for mom, it is never been enough.

row of shops

mom already feel dizzy. so i shop for her, some of these glasses materials. we ate maggi here. asked some hot water from the shop owners.

since this is the wholeseller area, bulk purchase is an advantage. u get cheaper price, better packaging etc. and some of them, not entertain retail purchase.

machine to process soy beans

chillers and refrigerators wholesellers. 50% cheaper than malaysia

this shop at one link selling exclusive swarozki stones bracelet and other jewellery. price is quite good. but if you buy lot, than it is cheaper. we pay around rm70 per bracelet. but our friend pay less than that since she bought thousands from this girl.

try to take the pic of the handbags wholesaler building while moving. pic not so pretty. but if you wnet here, they are many2 malls selling imitation begs. with various grades. from leather, pu to pv.  me bought several bags for dinner and casual. nothing branded just a cheapo one.
