Iftar @ Ole-Ole Bali, Empire Part 2

Hi there, this is my second visit to Ole-Ole Bali Empire. This time with my bff Ms N and Ms S. If i'm not mistaken we were having our late break fast in Subang after both of them spent sometime shopping in town while i am working at the office. we met at Empire and decided to have our breaking fast here.

It was the first for Ms N, so Ms N has decided to dine the same set of meal i had before. while me and Ms S were struggling choosing a new set of meals. seems, the first visit is always the best.

scrolling down are some pics taken on that day.

review on the food as per pic below

Ole-Ole Bali @ Empire Subang Gallery

I have not try another indonesian meal ever since i taste their food at bora ombak (8 years ago) and other than my all time favorite the ayam penyek. this one was a good starter to me.

i had nasi campur as recommended by others. my objective of having a meal this year is to try something different and special from their menu. plus a lime barley ice drink. which i recommended this one. the way they serving it was also different from normal stall or mamak cafe. they blended the barley, so you dont have to use a spoon to get the barley out of your glass.

Lime Barley

Nasi Campur

the portion of nasi campur is very generous. they had a satay (taste like otak2), a chicken, fish, squid, prawn, sambal terasi (green chilies and red one at different plate), keropok (fish crackers), a bowl of rice, some small portion of kerabu. i finished all except the prawn.

Ayam Betutu

Others had a lamb chicken combo.. look delicious to me and it was not serve with black pepper gravy like usual meal we had. i believed the gravy served was a baliness version. another sets on the table were a ayam betutu (served with yellow rice, roasted chicken and many2 dishes)
Chicken and Lamb Chop

we had a rojak for appertiser.

price wise, nasi campur = rm35
ayam betutu = rm28
lamb chicken combo =
lime barley = rm6

ambience = traditional balinese style with woody deco. provide 2 types of dining experience. eating your meal on table or sitting on the wooden floor covered with cushion which to us are really not comfortable 5 minutes experience. we had ours on table and non aircond area since the air conditioned one are fuly seated.

cleanliness = yes
