My latest addiction to bridge. I found another one in Singapore. Can't believe it babe. It's the Henderson Wave. This bridge connected the the Telok Belangah Hill to Mount Faber. If you come from Kent Ridge Park, you will go through Canopy Walk, Forest Walk, Alexandra Arch (bridge), Forest Walk, Hill top walk, Henderson Wave, Faber Walk (The submit) and the Marang Trail.
For this trip, i had only cover the last 3 parts. From Henderson Wave to Marang Trail. It only take me 2 minutes to climb the stairs. Not that high. Anyone can climb it. But at this area, the stairs are not disabled friendly. So, if you bring you elderly or little child, you might need to start from Kent Ridge Park, where you can stroll along the path or by taxi straight to Mount Faber. There are taxis come up and down the hill. But for a climber, taxis are not an option right. Why being a climber if you don't climb.
The wave length 270 meter across the Henderson Road.
Time to cross the bridge: est. 5 minute. but i didnt cross the bridge. just take a some photos and left for faber trail.
Height above the road: 36m
The highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore
The bridge, to me is very artistic. Like any other bridge, every bridge has it's own story. It was built a wave-like and consisting of a series of undulating curved "ribs". This ribs act as a shelter for the public. A good place to have a sit and chat on the bridge.
If you want some different look of the bridge, come at night. The bridge will be light up with LED light starting 7pm until 2am daily.
Getting Here:
Bus to Henderson Wave = No 131, stop at B30 of Henderson Road, the bus stop is exactly below the bridge.
Cross the road to take the zig zag stairs up to the bride area
