Shangxiajiu, literally means vertical 9, horizontal 9 in Chinese; it refers to the fact that 9 vertical streets and 9 horizontal streets make up this small shopping district. Think lots of people, lots of cheap clothes and lots of food.

VMY2014: Sukiyang Coffee Cafe a.k.a Haipeng, Kemaman

Dropped by at Kemaman town, while driving from Cherating heading to Kemasik Beach. We were talking bout Haipeng Coffee which are famous locally and decided to navigated ourselves to that coffee shop and figure it out how good the coffee is.

The shop, previously located at Jalan Sulaimi was relocated to a new site. Luckily, the owner/staff stick their new addresses at the front concerning bout customers who aren't aware about this move. Thanks...

So, we re-setting our GPS and finally reached this new shop which surprisingly has undergone a re-branding process, not only on location but on their shop's name. Previously known as Haipeng Kopitiam, and now, is called Sukiyang Coffee. Historically, Suki and Yang are a combination of the owners/partners name. If i am not mistaken, Suki is the daughter of the founder and Yang is the other founder.

The new address:

Taman Chukai Utama
PT11283 Jalan Kubang Kurus
Taman Chukai Utama
Fasa 3
Terengganu

Be in mind, it is not in Cukai district. It is still in Kemaman town. You just need to find a big / main Maybank branch along a shop lot. The chop is hidden behind it.

We ordered their recommended coffee "Au Lait with Local Sukiyang Coffee"
Basically, this is coffee with condensed milk. too sweet to my liking.

The menu

instant coffee for take away

French Toast

Tuna sandwiches

Banana and peanut butter toast

All our choices were superb. nothing to regret.

Banana and Peanut butter toast

The coffee

RM26 per box of 20 sachets.
Quite expensive than normal 3-in-1 coffee available in market
