Bangkok: Part 4 - Ma Boon Khrong (MBK) Shopping Mall & Khao San Road

continued after a brisk walk along the river bank of Chao Phraya. we took tuk tuk from town to MBK. a great mall we thought at first.

Quite huge. maybe halve or halve than OU. quite similar to sg wang and kl plaza style and most of the plaza in Guangzhou.

we were here for a couple of hours. dine in at Yana Restaurant and then browse around, see something that will interest us. bought nothing at the end.

took tuk tuk again. tuk tuk here tuk tuk there. enjoyed this ride so much but sooner realised the fare is rather expensive for a short distance ride.

didn't go back straightly to hotel instead heading to a backpacker street which is also know as Khao San Road. This place is famous with western backpackers. cheap hotel, cheap drink. so called. but we found the price of souvenirs here were higher than in MBK or other streets. but if you are hunting for a backpacker trip to most of tourist attractions in Bangkok, you should come here. they have a plenty of choices of packages and with affordable price. just make sure you reserve that day for the trip since you are not going to charter the whole mini van by yourselve. so, tolerance and patience with others are the key to enjoy you trip. for us, we decided not to opt for the package offered here but planned to negotiated with the same driver who took us to Ayuthaya today. so, we thought.

For cafe hunting, Khao San Road was not a bad choices. Clubs and coffee house open till morning and some provided free wifi

This is Mat Salleh or the Caucasian area

Walked along the street bargaining for a cheap pant that we first ignored near the riverbank.. argh.. after bout an hour, manage to grab one.

happening place at night. if i come to bangkok again, i will head to this place first and bargain for cheap travel package.

girl - be extra careful. better come with friend. this street also offer some services like the one in Red Light District area.
