Guangzhou - The Eateries

Muslim in China, especially Guangzhou has been existed since more than 1000 years. Guangzhou is not just a place for chinese muslim community but also muslim from other asian countries, from african and arabs. so, getting a halal meal around is not so a  big problem. it's just a matter of tolerance on the taste, cooking style, price, cleanliness.

For breakfast, our foods were sent directly to the hotel. we just need to pick it up from the lobby where they drop the foods. Every morning, we were being served with rice (love their rice, it tastes sweet) with veggie, beef or chicken. no gravy, but still it tastes good.

Dinner, we were taken to 2 different restaurants. For the 1st and 3rd night in GZ, we had our dinner at Bukhara restaurant. This is a must visit restaurant for all Malaysian when visited GZ.

the first dinner. not a bad one. plenty of foods. all of us were really hungry. nobody taken, everyone just eat all the food quietly. the food was quite ok. not as spicy as ours in KL.

They are good at cooking beef.

Another breakfast. Salted fish and vege.

2nd dinner was at Abdullah Restaurant.

Food was good. no complaint. still we missed malaysian food, hot and spicy. oily and salty.

we seldom visited local groceries shops. we were fed all the time. but, since we will only had our dinner later at night after all the shopping stuff, we grabbed some stuff while visiting the mosque here, as a backup.

Supermarket selling halal stuff. quite expensive. next time bring more food from KL.

our final dinner in GZ. foods served were better than earlier. spicy a bit. really happy with this one. so, next time if you drop by here, Bukhara restaurant, request for a spicy meal. not as spicy as in KL but still ok la.

First time trying halal maggi of china. arghhh... they had herbs in the ingredient. can't take it. end up throw it all.
