Penang - Roti Canai Jalan Transfer & Jeruk Madu

As recommended by a friend, we went for our roti canai hunting at Jalan Transfer. Quite a challenge for us. We spent quite some time circling around the same place before found this mamak stall. In fact, it is not even a proper stall. The seller just set up a cooking area near the wall and line up the tables and chairs alonf the corridor.

Next to the Roti Canai is the Roti Bakar @ Toaster Bread stall

Maybe, reader could google this Malia Bakery when searching for the Roti Canai. it is located opposite each other

Small, not as crunchy and crispy as i expected. Tastewise, so-so. Might be less time to "work" on the dough. To me, preparation of the ingredient of any meal is one of the important key. I can suspect due to the demand and time constraint, the seller has ignore its quality control on this roti canai.

So, basically, my verdict, em... just another meal. i might come again or maybe just skip this meal

The chicken curry is good. I love the way mamak variety their cooking style for the curry they prepare. More chillies than curry used to prepare this one. Should i just come for the curry?? can get stomach ache since the curry is pretty spicy. can see through the colour right.

The cooking area

Pretty busy stall.

Discovered this street. Lebuh Kheng Kee. This is the location of the famous Cendol in Penang

Dropped by at Pak Ali Jeruk Madu to shop for our jeruk souvenir.

Buah Berangan or Chestnut. Had a 350gm of chestnut as my dessert of the day. Seriously yum yum. It  tastes sweet and smell good too.

Off the street, another famous Nasir Jeruk. Dad bought his stock from this shop. When asked, which one is better, Nasir's or Pak Ali's. The guy answered, it likes on how you cooked or fried your fish. The difference is depend on the consumers' taste. Different people has different liking and preparing something. But the major different is Nasir Jeruk does not use sugar or artificial sugar or saccharine.

Less crowded when we came in. The guy got plenty time to entertain us and further can give better price than the famous Pak Ali Jeruk.

The landmark to the jeruk area is the IPK Pulau Pinang. We parked next to the building and then crossed the road.

the only penang art i found in Penang
